Daubenspeck and Associates: Cyber Security and The Gender Gap
According to the 2017 Global Information Security Workforce Survey, the proportion of women in the cyber security field has not changed significantly since the 2015 survey and the UK office of National Statistics has found no significant increase since at least 2013. Women currently make up only 11 percent of the industry. Ken Daubenspeck of Daubenspeck and Associates takes an in-depth look into the following questions:
Are women presented with cyber security as a career options?
Are employers actively interested in hiring female cyber security talent?
Are cyber security roles attractive to women?
