Senn Delaney “a Heidrick & Struggles Company”: Why Fostering a Growth Mindset in Organizations Matters

A new report from Senn Delaney finds there is added importance in the correlation between a ‘growth mindset’ culture and positive behaviors in an organization. This report was conducted to better understand organizations who value a growth mindset versus fixed mindset.

According to the report, fixed mindset organizations believe employees either have it or they do not when it comes to learning capabilities and skills. Organizations that foster growth mindset assert that people can grow and improve with effort and mentoring.

After conducting their research Senn Delaney found that people in growth mindset cultures have more trust in their company and a greater sense of ownership, value and are more willing to take risks. That added ownership and willingness to take risks may be the key factor to determine which companies will gain a competitive edge.
