AESC Signs CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion Pledge

Karen Greenbaum, CEO of the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC) has joined 1600+ other chief executives in signing the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion pledge. CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™ is the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The goal of CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion is to collectively take measurable action in advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Like any critical business imperative, advancing diversity and inclusion requires clear strategy, deliberate focus and sustained action.​ The companies that have signed the pledge recognize it as the first of many steps toward meaningful change. Contributing to and learning from actions that other companies are taking is another. The signatories to the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion pledge believe that openly sharing these actions in a spirit of collaboration will allow organizations to achieve their diversity and inclusion goals faster than any organization could achieve on its own.

As a signatory to the pledge, AESC joins other participating companies in commitment to four key actions:

  1. Continue to cultivate workplaces that support open dialog on complex, and sometimes difficult conversations about diversity and inclusion.
  2. Implement and expand unconscious-bias education.
  3. Share best-known—as well as unsuccessful—actions.
  4. Create and share strategic inclusion and diversity plans with the company’s board of directors.

In addition, AESC has taken its own set of actions as outlined in its AESC Diversity Pledge.
