John Price is a veteran of Latin America market consulting and one of the leading public speakers and thought leaders in the region. John is also a partner in Evidencity, which provides information for executive search firms seeking academic verification, background check information, etc. on candidates. Whether addressing audiences in English or Spanish, John's consulting and academic background delivers both a deep understanding of the trends impacting Latin American and Caribbean markets as well as rich anecdotal content built on over 2,000 client engagements in the region since 1993.
John has advised more than 30 of the global 100 firms on their business strategies and market intelligence needs in Latin America. John's consulting career began in Mexico where he founded InfoAmericas, becoming the largest independent market intelligence firm in Latin America. The firm was sold in 2007 to Kroll, the world's largest corporate investigations firm and John launched Kroll's first market intelligence practice. In 2011, John left Kroll and founded Americas Market Intelligence with offices in Miami, Mexico City and an affiliate office in Sao Paulo.
John has published over 100 articles on Latin American business trends and maintains a column in the region's largest circulated English language magazine, Latin Trade. In 2007, John Price co-wrote and co-edited "Can Latin America Compete?", which was published by Palgrave. John teaches as an adjunct professor at Florida International University.
John is an active board member of Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos, a LatAm orphanage network and the Canadian Council of the Americas. He is a BComm graduate (1988) from Queen's University. John Price resides in Miami with his wife and three sons.

Prior to joining Novartis, and successfully building and developing high-performance teams, design a top-tier Talent Management & D&I platform, and deployed multiple Change Management interventions that leveraged the diverse Business Strategies of the company, he also made innovative and key contributions in organizations such as AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Nissan, and McDonalds in areas of Leadership Development, Executive Education, HR Strategic Planning, Talent & Sourcing, Mergers & Acquisitions and Employee & Labor Relationships.
Apart from his current HR responsibilities at Novartis, Marcelo has been working as an active sponsor of the former Global Early Talent Development Programs and the Novartis Lat Am University framework -which he designed, founded and then replicated across the entire group.

Marcelo holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Relations (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa -Argentina-), a Master of Science in Human Resource Management (Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales -Argentina-), a Master of Science in Professional Management - major in International Business - (University of Miami -USA-) and a Master of Business Administration (University of Miami -USA-).
He is also a member of the Florida International University Advisory Board (Business School, for their MSHRM program), and World City forum for South Florida HR professionals. Marcelo's affection for improving access to education and healthcare for children in need has led to his continuous assistance and partnership with various NGOs in the field, like Global Humanitaria and Techo, where he serves as board member, promoting and building awareness campaigns in the US and Latin America.
Maggie is Vice President of Human Resources at Embraer Aircraft Holding, Inc. in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Embraer, headquartered in Brazil, is one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world focusing on three market segments – Commercial, Executive and Defense & Security. Maggie is responsible for the strategic HR direction of their North American operation, with approximately 2,000 employees, as well as having global responsibility for the Executive Aviation division, and sits on the Executive Management Board of the company in North America.
Maggie’s HR and leadership experience is extensive. She began her career in New York City after graduating from Fordham University with a degree in Psychology. She spent eight years at First Nationwide Bank as a Generalist, and three years at Citicorp’s corporate office in New York as an HR Business Partner. In 1993 Maggie joined First Fidelity Bancorporation which was subsequently acquired by First Union National Bank. In 1995, Maggie transferred to Miami, Florida with First Union. During her six year tenure with them she held positions as OD Consultant, HR Business Partner, Regional Recruiting Manager and Director of HR for their Specialty Banking Division in the Southeast. In 2001, Maggie joined Union Planters Bank in Miami as Regional HR Director supporting their operations in FL, LA and TX. Union Planters was acquired by Regions Bank in 2004 and Maggie relocated to their corporate headquarters in Birmingham, AL to create and run a centralized recruiting practice. In 2006, Regions merged with AmSouth Bank and Maggie returned to south Florida, joining DHL as Director of Human Resources in their corporate office in Plantation. She joined Embraer in 2008.
Maggie has been active in the community for many years. She was on the Board of The March of Dimes in Miami; co-chaired the HR Committee for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce; member and instructor with “If I Had a Hammer” in Birmingham, AL; member of SHRM and the local Broward county chapter; Board member of the FSU HR Center; member of AIA Workforce Policy Council.
In 2009, she was the recipient of the Excellence in Human Resources award from the South Florida Business Journal and in 2014 was recognized by Hispanic Executive magazine as a successful Hispanic female leader.
Maggie lives in Wellington, FL and is the proud mother of two girls, Krysten and Lauren.
Marilia Maya is Vice President and Global Head of Human Resources, for Western Union Global Money Transfer Business.
She has over 20 years of experience in the Human Resources area including global companies such as AGCO Agriculture Company, Credicard - CitiGroup, Banco Itau, and General Motors.
Marilia received an Executive MBA in Business Administration at Business School São Paulo and University of Toronto and a post-graduation in Administration from University of Sao Paulo. She has a bachelor degree in Psychology and has further enriched her executive management skills at Michigan University and INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau, France.
Guillermo Villa is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for HBO Latin America Group (HBO LA), a joint venture between AT&T/Warner Media Group and Ole Communications. As a member of the Executive Committee, Guillermo is responsible for the design and implementation of the human capital strategy for the Company. HBO LA distributes premium original content to over 80 channels as well as digital On Demand Video in most countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Before joining HBO LA, Guillermo was the Vice President of Global Human Resources and Total Rewards for Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. for over eight years.
Prior to that, he worked in several leadership roles in Human Resources for companies such as: Citigroup, Towers Watson, Microsoft, International Multifoods and Mercer. Guillermo started his HR career with Procter and Gamble working with Gillette at their Boston headquarters.
Guillermo has been a member of WorldatWork since 1997. He has served as a faculty member and was recently appointed to their Society Board of Directors. He has been frequently quoted as a global HR expert in WorldatWork and Towers Watson's Work at Strategy publications.
Guillermo holds an MBA from Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion (IPADE), a B.A. in Industrial Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana, and a Certificate of Specialist Studies in Administration and Management from Harvard University.
Managing Director Lorena Keough works in the life sciences, chemical, consumer, industrial, and diversity practices. She is also the practice leader for our Supply Chain field. Keough has a strong record in completing senior executive searches within the pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, chemical, and consumer sectors. Her focus has been on recruiting world-class talent for U.S. and European multinationals in countries across the world and has worked with Fortune 500, and small- and medium-sized public and private companies. Several of her assignments have included the placement of entire senior management teams to help firms establish subsidiary companies in new countries.
Prior to joining Diversified Search, Keough successfully headed up the Latin America Region practice for a global boutique search firm that focused on the life sciences and chemical Industries. Before entering the search profession, she was the General Manager and Vice President of Eastman Kodak's Health Imaging and Clinical Diagnostics divisions for Latin America. Over her career at Kodak, she worked for the Canadian, U.S., and Latin American regions.
