Heidrick & Struggles: The Superaccelerators of 2017

Colin Price, Executive Vice President and Managing Partner – Leadership Consulting, of Heidrick & Struggles has published a list of the companies he and his colleagues have deemed “superaccelerators.” These top performers were selected based off what Heidrick & Struggles have defined as the four key aspects of corporate performance, known as META: Mobilize, Execute, and Transform with Agility. Price and his team applied their META-based tests to the top 500 companies in the word by market capitalization and found 25 to be superaccelerators.

Notable findings from this study include:

• 16 of the 25 companies are from the United States.
• The management quality of a company had more of an effect on the META standards than industry or geography.
• The Boards of superaccelerators have fewer members over the age of 60.
