Leathwaite: Global HR Trends: 2023 and beyond

The Leathwaite annual Global HR survey recently released new insights into the current trends in HR. Such trends include employee retention, opportunities, and challenges, and the evolving work environment.

The report summarizes the input of 300 global HR leaders. Notably, 67% of respondents state Employee engagement and retention as the area where HR will deliver the most value in the next 12 months.

Leathwaite's survey covered a wide variety of topics and the following statistics are just a couple of their findings: 

• 72% of survey respondents believe the deliverables of the HR function to be clearly understood by their board. (30% increase from 2022)
• 48% of respondents ranked DEI as an area in which HR would add the most value in the next year
• 89% of respondents adopted hybrid working in some form and 39% employed fully remote staff
