Senn Delaney “a Heidrick & Struggles Company” Interviews Ameren’s CEO

Senn Delaney sat down with Tom Voss, chairmen, president and CEO of Ameren, to discuss leading a culture transformation in the St. Louis based utility company. The cultural transformation was a driving force behind improvement in safety, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, performance and top shareholder return.

The following is an excerpt from the interview: “Every company has a culture, and it’s established over a long period of time, and if you don’t try and shape it it’ll just tend to get worse. We had some serious gaps in our culture and we really needed to fix them. If you look at the way our culture is today, it’s signifi­cantly different than it was six or seven years ago.”
