AESC Recognizes Excellence in Executive Search & Leadership Consulting at Create the Future Conference in Amsterdam

The worldwide Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC) honored during today’s AESC European Conference in Amsterdam, “Create the Future,” the achievements of executive search and leadership consultants for their outstanding contributions to the profession and to the community.

The AESC Award of Excellence recognizes an individual who has made a significant impact in enhancing the profession in a meaningful way, especially reinforcing a commitment to the highest professional standards through AESC’s Code of Professional Practice. The award was granted to Marco Boni of Spencer Stuart. Based in Dubai, Marco leads Spencer Stuart's Middle East and North Africa business. He provides advisory and board services to multinational and regional companies, specializing in recruiting chief executive officers, chief financial officers and other senior-level executives for general management and key corporate roles. He is an active member of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Financial Services, Consumer and Industrial practices, as well as a member of Spencer Stuart's worldwide board of directors.

Marco is experienced in board advisory work, recruiting chairs and nonexecutive directors, as well as conducting board evaluations. He spent seven years working in Spencer Stuart’s Johannesburg office, where he recruited senior executives across a broad range of industries for leading global corporate clients in South Africa, continental Africa and the Middle East. He brings a rich perspective of assessing senior executives in the region.

The AESC Commitment to the Community Award recognizes an individual, office or firm who combines excellence in executive search or leadership consulting with a strong commitment to community service and volunteerism toward charitable causes. This award was bestowed upon TRANSEARCH International. The TRANSEARCH ChildFund Foundation was founded in 2006 by TRANSEARCH International. Its mission is to sustainably improve the education and living conditions of children in economically underdeveloped countries. The foundation uses its revenue from capital on top of annual donations to directly grant children in critical areas assistance, protection, support and education. The foundation’s first project was to build a new school for 100 pupils in Dai, Vietnam, 3.5 hours northwest of Hanoi.

In 2010, the TRANSEARCH ChildFund Foundation began a second project in Zambia in the district of Chibombo. Since the project’s commencement, four new classroom blocks with 12 classrooms, a preschool, 14 teachers’ flats, solar-powered electricity and a water reticulation system have been built. In 2019, an important milestone was reached with the opening of a health clinic, which services both the student population and 7,000 local inhabitants.

The TRANSEARCH ChildFund Foundation’s project in Zambia has even bigger plans for the community to ensure its self-sustainability. Two projects are currently underway to build a grain mill, granary, and grocery store that will provide further jobs. Additional projects are also in the early planning stages.

Karen Greenbaum, AESC President & CEO, said: “We celebrate the exceptional achievements of these AESC members. Through their commitment to excellence within the profession and the community at large, our AESC award recipients are outstanding examples of how AESC members both serve client organizations worldwide as trusted advisors and give back to society, too.”
