Pauly Rodney of Raines International Named Board President of NAAAHR

Raines International announce that Mr. Pauly Rodney, Vice President at Raines, has been elected as the Board President of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR) – Greater New York. The announcement was made during the NAAAHR-GNY’s 10th Annual Excellence in Leadership Awards, which honored Mr. Robert Childs, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at American Express, and Mr. Philip Berry, Chief Human Resources Officer at the Clinton Foundation.

NAAAHR-GNY hosts monthly workshops, conferences, and events featuring prominent human resources speakers. The national group comprises over 20 regional chapters that together serve as a unique career development and networking powerhouse for Black and African American human resources practitioners and those who are aligned with the organization’s goals.

“We are fortunate to have Pauly Rodney at the helm of NAAAHR-GNY,” said Ms. Jana Brown, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at TIAA. “He will bring experience, professionalism, and passion to enriching the capabilities and careers of rising HR professionals across the greater NY area.” A board member herself, Ms. Brown added, “serving on the NAAAHR-GNY Board is personally important to me because it provides African American HR professionals access to programming and mentoring to strengthen talent readiness, and to contribute and compete in an ever-changing marketplace.”

Mr. Rodney leads the Diversity & Inclusion practice at Raines International.  He works with Chief Human Resources Officers and Chief Diversity Officers of Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, nonprofits, and startups to identify, recruit, and retain diverse talent.  Mr. Rodney is also a member of Raines International’s Marketing & Advertising Practice and Private Equity Practice.  He graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics and a concentration in Public Opinion.

Mr. Rodney will succeed Mr. David Hanley, who has served as President of NAAAHR-GNY since 2011. Mr. Hanley is currently the President of First Step HR Associates (FSHRA).  He was a founding member of the Atlanta Human Resources Association (AHRA), which later became NAAAHR-Atlanta.

“Pauly joined NAAAHR eager to take on responsibility,” said Mr. Hanley. “He quickly became the logical choice to lead the organization based on his leadership abilities and his commitment to NAAAHR’s values. He has agreed to make the effort and he is stepping into the role prepared.”
