Stanton Chase Names Search Vet to Head Up Expansion to Orange County

Mazy Akhlaghi, an executive search professional with more than 20 years of global experience, has joined Stanton Chase as a Director and will head up the organization’s new office in Orange County, CA.
 
The new location will be a satellite of the Los Angeles office of Stanton Chase, a global retained executive search firm with more than 70 offices in 45 countries. Managing Directors Ed Savage, Mark Sadovnick, and Peter Deragon made the announcement.
 
The Orange County office will be based at 505 North Tustin Avenue, Suite 157 in Santa Ana.
 
“This is an important expansion for the Los Angeles office,” the Managing Directors made in a joint statement. “Orange County has a very diverse economy and it is a pleasure to welcome Mazy to our team. He is familiar with this area and we look forward to working with him to further build our reach in Southern California and throughout the world.”
 
Akhlaghi’s experience spans talent acquisition for several search firms and in corporate settings.  He has completed hundreds of senior executive, CEO and board of director search assignments. Akhlaghi has assisted companies ranging from Fortune 100 companies to early-stage, venture capital-backed startups with multiple executive and board placements in all regions of the world. He also has significant experience in the education, government, and non-profit sectors.
 
Prior to joining Stanton Chase, he was a vice president with Identify Talent Acquisition Partners, a search firm with offices in Irvine and Manhattan Beach. He has served in similar capacities with several other search firms. Before beginning his search career, he was an Audit Manager with KPMG. In this capacity, he served a wide range of global clients.  Akhlaghi also was a Director for Broadcom, a Fortune 100 semi-conductor innovator. 
 
His background in both external and internal search and corporate human resources will also be a benefit to the Orange County client base.

Akhlaghi received his bachelor  of science degree in accounting from California State University, Long Beach. He is fluent in Spanish and Farsi. He is also a Board Member and Treasurer for the Irvine Unified School District.
