Executive Search Professional Joins Stanton Chase

Kathleen Lehman Hajek, an executive search professional with more than 20 years of experience, has joined the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore offices of Stanton Chase as a Director.

The announcement was made by Mickey Matthews, Managing Director of the Washington and Baltimore offices and International Chairman of Stanton Chase.

Hajek is based in Raleigh, NC and will focus much of her activity on the Research Triangle Park and Charlotte, as well as with a national client base.

“Kathleen is a seasoned search professional with a diverse portfolio of clients and is a welcome addition to our growing footprint along the east coast,” said Matthews. “This expansion is consistent with our recent openings of offices in Philadelphia and Washington to ensure our client centric value proposition of service excellence. By following this model, Stanton Chase is able to understand local markets while also providing a global perspective.”

Hajek is a member of the firm’s Health Care & Life Sciences, Private Equity, Professional Services and Non-Profit Practice Groups.

Prior to joining Stanton Chase, she was a Partner with two boutique firms specializing in the health care industry. Hajek began her career in executive search as an Associate with Heidrick & Struggles. She also served as Manager of Recruiting for Deloitte in the Chicago office.

During her career, she has recruited C-level executives as well as key leaders in finance, strategy, business development, marketing, human resources and administration in healthcare, life sciences, technology, and non-profit sectors. Hajek has worked with venture capital and private equity firms, placing strategic leaders for their portfolio companies.

Actively involved in the Raleigh-Durham non-profit community, as well as previously in west Michigan, she has served as an active Board Member with the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, and played an integral role during the design, development and opening of The Richard & Helen DeVos Japanese Garden in June 2015.

Hajek holds a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, degree from the University of Michigan. She also studied abroad at the Universidad de Sevilla in Seville, Spain.
