Launch of 30% Club Malaysia

May 8, 2015 | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Gender diversity in leadership has long been recognised as a strategy that leads to better governance and performance. The 30% women in decision-making positions was policy that was introduced by the Government in 2011. The aim is to see more women taking up decision-making positions in the corporate sector by 2016. PEMANDU in collaboration with Bursa Malaysia, will host a gathering of all Chairmen/ CEOs of publicly listed and large public companies. During this event, the Prime Minister of Malaysia will reiterate his vision and officially launch the 30% Club Malaysia. There will also be a discussion featuring distinguished panellists, focusing on the contribution of women leaders to the success of an organisation and how gender diversity can improve a board’s governance. This is an invitation only event. The AESC is proud to participate in welcoming 30% Club in Malaysia.
