Talouselämä also published an article examining the trend of new CEO appointments among companies listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and the critical role of executive search firms, or headhunters, in these recruitments. Despite economic challenges impacting the executive search sector, resulting in fluctuations in turnover and profitability, headhunters continue to play a central role in most CEO searches. The article also notes the substantial fees associated with executive search services, often tied to the CEO's salary, which underscores the high level of responsibility and expertise these firms bring.
