MU Recognized as Largest Executive Search Company in Finland

MU has been recognized as Finland's largest Executive Search firm, as highlighted in a recent publication by the Finnish business newspaper Talouselämä.  Talouselämä also published an article examining the trend of new CEO appointments among companies listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange and the critical role of executive search firms, or headhunters, in these recruitments. Despite economic challenges impacting the executive search sector, resulting in fluctuations in turnover and profitability, headhunters continue to play a central role in most CEO searches. The article also notes the substantial fees associated with executive search services, often tied to the CEO's salary, which underscores the high level of responsibility and expertise these firms bring. A prominent topic in the article was the increased emphasis on diversity within recruitment processes. Executive search companies responding to Talouselämä’s inquiry indicated a heightened focus on diversity-related issues in recent years. Esko Oja, Partner and Team Director responsible for MU's Finnish operations, commented on this trend, stating: "Clients' awareness and focus on diversity has increased, but the situations and development stages of organizations vary greatly. However, recruitment cannot be based solely on diversity or representativeness; creating a tailored success profile in collaboration with the client is crucial.” In [...]
