AESC APAC is hosting a members networking session in Hong Kong. Come together as a member community to collaborate and share insights and thought leadership. We are pleased to welcome. Dr. Ryne Sherman, Chief Science Officer at Hogan Assessments, and Vivian Yang, Director at Mobley Group Pacific, who will present findings from Hogan’s Global Leadership Effectiveness Study, revealing what characteristics people across countries and cultures want in their leaders.

Understanding what people want in leaders can help organizations better engage their employees and understand how they can develop their leaders to become more effective at leading followers. The session will spotlight the key leader behaviors valued worldwide, with a deep dive into the distinctive trends shaping leadership in Greater China.

INTRODUCING YOUR SPEAKERS:

Vivian Yang, M.Sc.

Vivian Yang is the Director of Tool Based Solutions and Senior Consultant with Mobley Group Pacific Ltd. Vivian enables clients to achieve distinct competitive advantages in leadership and talent by applying multiple facets of organizational psychology. A certified Hogan Assessments Master Trainer, she specializes in deploying top-notch psychometrics to elevate leadership effectiveness and optimize talent pipelines. She brings deep expertise in leadership assessment & development, high-potential talent programs, team facilitation, and diagnosing organizational effectiveness. She partners with a diverse client base, including global Fortune 500 multinationals across Greater China and APAC, as well as leading Chinese public companies and state-owned enterprises. Her experience covers pharmaceuticals, automotive, life sciences, technology, retail, education, and financial services.

Dr. Ryne Sherman

Dr. Ryne is the chief science officer at Hogan Assessments. In this role, he is responsible for managing the primary functions within Hogan’s industry-leading data science department, including talent analytics, product innovation, business intelligence, and Hogan’s research archive and infrastructure. Ryne’s research in personality has examined the role of personality in daily life, career pursuits and workplace performance, and the assessment and measurement of personality and individual differences. Ryne is also an expert on modern approaches to personality assessment, including unobtrusive assessment, such as voice prosody, word use, and affective responses to stimuli. He is also in an expert in data analytics, including the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning in conjunction with personality assessment.
