Since joining Lindauer in 2014, Montgomery has played a key role in expanding the firm’s executive recruiting services across higher education, health, and the nonprofit sector.
Lindauer, one of the world’s leading retained executive search firms serving nonprofits, is pleased to announce that Faith Montgomery has been promoted to Executive Vice President. In this expanded leadership role, Montgomery will continue partnering with clients to find exceptional leaders while helping to guide Lindauer’s strategic direction as the firm enters an exciting new phase of growth and possibility.
Since joining Lindauer in 2014, Montgomery has advanced the firm’s executive recruiting and talent services across higher education, health, and the nonprofit sector. Her leadership has been instrumental in driving a range of C-suite recruitment offerings that serve the complex, dynamic needs of today’s mission-driven organizations.
Montgomery’s promotion comes at a pivotal moment in Lindauer’s evolution. Over the past two years, the firm has strategically expanded its leadership team and service capabilities, welcoming Paula Fazli from Sage Search Partners in 2024, Dan Nevez as part of Campbell & Company’s executive search practice transition in 2025, and, most recently, Adele Mezher and Maeve Clifford through the addition of Pearl Street to the Lindauer family.
“Faith has been a driving force behind Lindauer’s transformation into a firm that can meet nonprofits wherever they are in their leadership journeys,” said Lindauer CEO Deb Taft. “Her ability to forge deep partnerships with leaders, her commitment to equitable hiring practices, and her strategic vision have positioned us to seize this moment of growth with clarity and purpose. As we expand our capabilities and integrate new talent and approaches, Faith’s leadership will be essential to ensuring we stay true to our mission while unlocking new possibilities for the organizations we serve.”
With expertise spanning executive search, talent management, and inclusive hiring, Montgomery’s client work reaches across education, health, the arts, social justice, and public policy. Her
collaborative approach and deep understanding of nonprofit leadership have made her a trusted advisor to organizations navigating critical transitions.
Montgomery has successfully led executive-level searches for organizations including the Executive Leadership Council, Cooperative Economic Empowerment Movement, Measures for Justice, and Eastern Bank Foundation. In health and academic medicine, she has partnered with a range of clients engaged in life-changing research, teaching, and patient care, including Boston Children’s Hospital, Duke Health, Fenway Health, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the University of Texas at San Antonio Health System. Her higher education clients include Boston University, Howard University, the University of Minnesota, Morehouse College, Rice University, and the University of Southern California, along with numerous K-12 institutions such as Durham Academy, Georgetown Day School, Harvard-Westlake School, South Kent School, and Tabor Academy.
Beyond her client work, Montgomery brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience to her role, having held senior positions across the sector prior to joining Lindauer. She is Co-Chair of the American Council on Education’s Executive Search Roundtable and serves on the national Board of the African American Development Officer’s Network. She is also a member of Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy (WOC) and The Giving Institute. Montgomery formerly served on the Boston Chapter Board of Jack and Jill.
In her new role as Executive Vice President, Montgomery will work closely with Lindauer’s expanded leadership team to shape strategies that strengthen talent pipelines, enhance client success, and position the firm to meet the evolving needs of nonprofits working to maximize their impact in the world.
