It’s About All of Us
As a global association, AESC represents firms that operate across a wide range of cultures, legal systems, and social frameworks. Recognizing this breadth of scope, AESC does not seek to prescribe specific policies or practices. Instead, our position on opportunity and inclusion reflects the core values we share as a profession.
AESC Members know that organizations outperform the competition when leadership reflects a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and approaches to problem-solving. Considering a broad pool of qualified candidates enables organizations to identify exceptional talent, enhance decision-making, and build stronger, more resilient teams. Inclusive leadership drives innovation, strengthens organizational resilience, and fosters workplace cultures where the best people come to do their best work.
Our Commitment to Opportunity & Inclusion
AESC Members advance access, fairness and inclusion in leadership. Our Members:
- Attract a broad array of highly qualified leadership talent across experiences, geographies, and thinking styles.
- Create access by broadening searches, building inclusive candidate slates and advocating for selection practices that eliminate bias and evaluate leaders fairly and holistically.
- Strengthen workplace cultures by helping clients foster inclusive environments where all voices are welcomed, valued, and can contribute.
- Build innovative, adaptable leadership teams by helping clients identify and develop leaders who can thrive in a range of environments, situations, and markets.
We view inclusion and excellence as inseparable. Inclusion and belonging are not trends – they are enduring pillars of ethical leadership, organizational resilience, and competitive advantage.

Opportunity & Inclusion Councils
AESC has established regional Opportunity & Inclusion Councils made up of experienced Members who are committed to advancing opportunity and inclusive leadership within their firms and the broader executive search and leadership consulting profession. These Councils serve as peer forums to exchange insights, elevate emerging best practices, and address evolving client expectations around inclusive talent strategies.
