Stephen Konstans Promoted to Senior Vice President for Pearson Partners International

Pearson Partners International, a global retained executive search firm, has promoted Stephen Konstans to the role of senior vice president and named him as the firm’s Financial Officers Practice Leader. Konstans has been with Pearson Partners International since 2005, most recently as a vice president.

“Stephen is a people person and a numbers person. He represents the exact mix that our clients seek in filling critical financial officer roles for their organizations: They want executives that effortlessly bring strategic insight and clear communication with ever-present awareness to any related risks and rules,” says Keith Pearson, CEO of Pearson Partners International. “He brings keen insight to the changing roles and skill sets our clients need based on where the organization is on its growth trajectory and lifecycle. I’m eager to see our clients realize even greater value as Stephen takes the helm to lead our financial officers practice area.”

In this role, Konstans will lead executive search and business development initiatives for senior-level financial executives, including CFOs, controllers and their leadership teams. With 29 years of helping companies secure candidates for critical executive positions, and prior to that serving as an accountant and auditor, he leads and participates in various finance associations and events to share the larger picture and role of the ever-evolving finance function, as seen through the eyes of Pearson Partners’ clients and candidates.

“C-suites and boards of directors recognize that the role of a CFO and senior financial executive is not just about the numbers, but rather the ability to drive, manage and thrive amidst change. Compliance, regulation and cybersecurity acumen are a given for the finance leader today,” notes Konstans. “Now companies need finance leaders to support go-to-market and growth strategies as well as the related data analytics and digital strategies we rely on more each year.”

Konstans serves on the advisory board for the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance and is president of the Trinity Christian Academy Alumni Association Board. He previously served on the boards of Executives In Action and the Southern Methodist University Business Associate Program, where he was named Mentor of the Year.

A former Certified Public Accountant, Konstans earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Southern Methodist University and has continued graduate studies at The University of Texas at Dallas.
