Progress Associés appoints Jean-Philippe Demaël as Chairman

Progress Associés, a French leader in supporting decision-makers and companies in building and developing management teams, announces the appointment of Jean-Philippe Demaël as Chairman. He succeeds Alain Prestat, who remains a director and becomes Honorary Chairman. Progress Associés continues to build its future by relying on the excellent knowledge that Jean-Philippe Demaël and Alain Prestat have of industrial companies (mid-cap and groups, listed or family), changes in their economic models, and employee development. 

A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and Engineer of the Corps des Mines, Jean-Philippe Demaël was Chief Executive Officer and then Chairman of the Management Board of Somfy between 2008 and 2016. He is now Chairman and Founder of Horizons Altitude, a strategy consulting firm, as well as Double Mixte, a company specializing in the retraining of top athletes. He began his career in the public service, in DRIRE before becoming the Director of the Office of the Director-General of Industry. Between 1998 and 2008, he worked in the Usinor Sacilor Group, which became Arcelor Mittal, notably holding the responsibilities of General Manager of the Automotive Stainless Europe Activity then of CEO of Acesita (Aperam Brazil).
