The Onstott Group Bolsters Its Healthcare Practice

The Onstott Group, a mid-sized retained executive search firm in the United States with global reach through IMD, announced today that Brian T. Kelley, Jr. has joined the firm to lead the Healthcare Practice. He also will maintain his consulting relationships with private equity and venture capital firms.

“Brian’s extensive experience in the healthcare industry coupled with our existing relationships will greatly strengthen our ability to address the needs of the broad healthcare market”, commented Joe Onstott, Managing Director of the firm.

Kelley (48) added, “I am excited about the prospect of building on what Joe Onstott, Pat Campbell and their team have achieved. In addition, the firm shares a similar philosophy - strong client relations, principal involvement, and industry knowledge make for successful searches. Our plan is to play to my strength as a former healthcare services owner/operator along with an H.I.T. focus providing senior level placements with a consultative approach.”

Kelley comes to The Onstott Group from running BTK Associates, LLC a boutique executive search, board and consulting services firm and The Buffkin Group where he assisted Craig Buffkin as a Partner, expanding from 5 employees to 15 with five offices in the U.S.Prior to this, he joined Ray & Berndtson in May of 2003 and worked closely with clients in the healthcare industry.

This consulting experience has focused on many healthcare sectors including devices, payers, providers and information technology. In addition, he has worked closely with private equity and venture capital firms on senior level searches, management audits, advisory board services and market analysis for many of their portfolio companies.

Prior to his career in executive search, Brian served as Director of Occupational Medicine Services for HEALTHSOUTH Rehabilitation Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. Before this, he was Director of Managed Care Contracting and Director of Marketing/Public Relations with Professional Sports Care Management, Inc. (PSCM), a publicly traded company and a leader in outpatient rehabilitation services in the New York Metro Area.

After graduating from Boston College, Brian pursued professional baseball in the United States and completed his baseball career overseas with a Dutch National Baseball organization. Brian was inducted to the Boston College Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 – Baseball. He lives in Greenwich, CT with his fiancee Fraser and their four children.
