Odgers Berndtson Expands Public Sector Team in Canada

Odgers Berndtson has strengthened its public sector practice in Canada with the addition of Jane Griffith, a new partner in the Academic Practice, and John King and Gino Picciano who have joined the firm’s Health Care Practice as Strategic Client Advisors.

With a focus on the recruitment of senior leaders in the academic sector, Jane has worked with some of the most prominent universities, colleges and not-for-profit organizations in Canada. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, Jane worked for several national and global search firms, and founded Griffith Research, where she worked with executive search firms located in Canada, the United States, Dubai and Australia.

John and Gino will work closely with Odgers Berndtson’s Health Care Team to provide strategic guidance throughout the search process. A leader with more than 30 years of experience in senior operational roles in Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan, John is well known for his roles as Assistant Deputy Minister, MOHLTC and Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Vice-President at St Michael's Hospital. Gino retired from his Senior Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer position at The Ottawa Hospital in 2012, following a 30-year career in progressively senior positions in the health care sector. He has been instrumental in a number of regional initiatives, most notably the creation of the Eastern Ontario Regional Laboratory Association (EORLA).

In the last 18 months, Odgers Berndtson has added 10 new partners to its roster and has seen its revenues grow by 50 per cent.
