Korn Ferry Futurestep Expands Recruitment Training Program with Focus on Veterans

The Futurestep division of Korn Ferry announced it is inviting Veterans to apply to be part of its successful “Talent Academy” training program.

The comprehensive learning, development and onboarding program is designed to develop world-class recruitment professionals. The eight-week program, which takes place in the Dallas area, will begin Jan. 30, 2017. Participants must be willing to work in Texas for 12-24 months upon completion of the program.

Veterans whom have left any branch of the U.S. military within the last 12 months are invited to apply. Ideal candidates are enlisted professionals with 3-6 years of experience. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.

“This unique program goes well beyond recruitment basics by embedding intellectual property from Korn Ferry to provide holistic insight into a candidate’s competencies, traits, drivers, as well as the experiences that are aligned to a particular role,” said Futurestep Chief Operations Executive Bill Sebra, who is also a Veteran. “We are honored to offer this program to these transitioning members of the military, as they bring with them dedication, commitment and a strong work ethic.”

The January cohort will be comprised of both Veterans and non-Veterans.

“There is so much that each group can learn from each other and we believe the diversity of backgrounds will help contribute to each participant’s success,” said Sebra.

Futurestep offers a competitive salary and best-in-class training. Participants do not need to have a background in recruiting to be considered.

“Veterans have incredible backgrounds in everything from healthcare to supply chain, engineering and communications,” said Randy Manner, retired Army Major General and Korn Ferry senior partner. “Those experiences will be put to good use as these new hires work with Futurestep clients who need to fill positions in many types of roles.”
