Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. announced that David Hui has joined the firm as a Partner in the Financial Services practice based in Hong Kong.

"David brings with him more than 20 years of experience in executive search globally and across the Asia Pacific region. He has been a trusted advisor to local and regional business leaders in the banking, asset management and private equity industries, as well as to Hong Kong-listed and privately owned companies," said Frazer Wilson, Regional Managing Partner of Heidrick & Struggles' APAC Financial Services Practice. "Heidrick & Struggles' clients– in Hong Kong, in the region and beyond – will certainly benefit from his experience and expertise."

Before joining Heidrick & Struggles, Hui was founder and managing director of a boutique search firm where he was responsible for managing large regional accounts and senior-level assignments. Previously, he served as the head of the Financial Services practice for Asia Pacific at an international search firm, leading a team of more than 40 consultants. In his early career, he worked as a banking and finance lawyer at both Allen & Overy and Baker & McKenzie.

"I am delighted to be joining a team that has created a long-lasting, deeply respected brand in the industry. I look forward to helping identify and deliver the next generation of transformational leaders to our clients," said Hui. At the senior executive level, an individual's ability to 'fit into' an organization that determines whether or not they will be successful. Therefore, really knowing and understanding our clients' cultures is critical for success."
