Catherine Andersen
Catherine works across the business to assist partners when specialist assessment, coaching, or leadership development programmes are required by clients. After a career advising and transitioning senior executives as an executive search consultant, Catherine has augmented her experience with formal coaching qualifications from INSEAD, France and gaining certification in the Hogan suite of assessments.
She enjoys being at the cutting edge of the strategic direction and growth of the firm and has responsibility for identifying and managing our global and local partnerships and alliances.
Prior to Omera Partners Catherine enjoyed more than 20 years in Executive Search (Financial Services) culminating in her appointment as Managing Director at one of the ‘big 5’ global firms. She enjoyed regional (Asia Pacific) responsibility for managing businesses and growing teams for at least 15 of those years as either an employee or in her own business. Her experience has provided her with a global network of industry professionals and an appreciation for the challenges faced by clients as they make their most important business decisions – those of choosing their most senior leaders.

Lucy Lei
With corporate working experience across four continents integrating Eastern and Western cultures, Lucy is a trusted advisor who partners with clients to see things beneath the obvious and addresses their most pressing global leadership and cultural needs in the C-suite and the Boardroom.
Based in Shanghai, Lucy is a part of Russell Reynolds' Board & CEO Advisory Partners team. She worked & lived over 25 years in Europe, Australia, North America and Asia before returned to China in 2011. Her international experience includes both for-profit MNC as well as non-profit organizations; implementation as company leader and supervisory role as member of board of directors. Her past experience includes Managing Director Greater China for an international executive search & leadership advisory firm, Managing Director APAC & global board member for a Belgian industry group, VP Greater China for a Hong Kong listed company. Her ability to work within both Eastern and Western cultures supports her results-based approach to leadership.
Lucy is a ICF certified professional organizational coach. She emphasizes integrating the best available knowledge, client focus and aligning expectations prior to coaching engagements. Lucy focuses on the fields of Board structure, culture & effectiveness, Leadership Development, Self-Management, Culture Advisory, Top Team Building, Strategy Setting and Executive Presence. Combining coaching, assessment tools & process with practical past executive practices, with mindfulness, Lucy helps executives by enhancing their self-awareness and facilitates clients achieving their individual and organizational goals.
Lucy actively contributes to business society in Shanghai. She is a member of Executive Board for the Benelux Chamber of Commerce Shanghai since 2014, adjunct faculty member at Dalian Maritime University, corporate mentor for SISU MBA program and past President of IPWS. She is ICF certified coach with PCC, holds MBA, Master’s degree in International Economic Law, Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Advanced Supply Chain Management. Lucy is a regular keynote speaker, moderator, panelist and workshop presenter in Asia and aboard on subjects of authentic leadership, board performance, diversity equity & inclusion, change management, executive presence and other subject matters.
Paul Vella
Paul Vella is a senior Business Psychologist, executive assessor and coach, with over 15 years consulting and coaching experience in the Middle East, UK and Europe, operating up to board level. Prior to heading the Middle East Leadership Practice at Odgers Berndtson, Paul was a member of the leadership team at another international Human Capital consultancy, with responsibility for designing and directing large-scale leadership development, assessment and strategic talent management consulting projects.
Paul’s additional experience includes heading the UK division of an international consulting business and prior to that, he has held various leadership and talent consulting roles. Earlier in his career, he also headed a regional government department. Sector experience includes Financial Services, Healthcare, Industrial, Consumer & Retail, Engineering, Telco, Media and Professional Services.
Paul is a certified and registered Occupational Test User: Ability and Personality, a member of the British Psychological Society and ASTD certified in Coaching, Talent Management and Career Development. He is also a regular conference speaker, facilitator and media contributor. Paul holds an MSc in Occupational Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree with honours in Psychology.
