POSITION SUMMARY

The Research Associate is an important part of Executive Search, the primary focus of the Research Associate is to support Partners in finding suitable candidates for their executive search projects. Typical responsibilities include:

• Researching companies and developing target candidate lists.

• Identifying potential candidates from a variety of online tools.

• Providing research and mapping to determine organization structures of target companies.

• Updating industry information, analyzing market trends and tracking candidate movement.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively participate in designing the search and business development strategy with the Partner / Consultant; pro-active involvement as a valued team contributor throughout the search process from pitch to candidate development.

• Providing research in support of candidate identification and business development activities of the practice. Develop appropriate candidate target lists for the Partner / Consultant using online tools, social media, phone calls, print materials and a wide range of other information resources.

• Attend or listen in on search kick-off meetings, suggest possible target companies or candidates, and attend client briefings and meetings when possible.

• Develop a full understanding of the search and the research needs of clients, developing confidence and trust of colleagues and clients.

• When not engaged in research to support searches, the Research Associate may be asked to help develop the company’s internal knowledge base, i.e. by mapping out company organizations or finding suitable target clients for the Partner to develop.
