ASSOCIATION OF EXECUTIVE SEARCH CONSULTANTS LAUNCHES CERTIFIED RESEARCHER/ASSOCIATE PROGRAM

New Program Helps Researchers Build Skills and Creates Standard for Researcher Quality

New York, January 25, 2007 - The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) today launched its Certified Researcher/Associate Program to help develop and improve the level of skills, ethics and professionalism in executive-search research and to establish a benchmark of excellence for the executive search industry.

"Research is a key component of executive search and until now, there has been no single, reliable source for training researchers and ensuring they meet an industry-standard level of quality," said AESC President Peter Felix. "The Certified Researcher/Associate Program satisfies this need and consolidates the position of the AESC in determining the ethical and professional industry standards."

Once an individual has satisfied eligibility requirements and completed the AESC Certified Researcher/Associate curriculum, they take an online examination consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions and are graded on a pass/fail basis. The online examination is followed by an oral examination conducted over the phone involving a case study. The examiners are experienced AESC member search professionals and the process is handled confidentially. The oral examination is assessed on a pass/fail basis.

Once an individual has passed both the online and oral examinations, he/she is officially an AESC Certified Researcher/Associate.

Curriculum

The AESC Certified Researcher/Associate curriculum consists of a series of Online Courses and Expert Forums, including:
