About the Ethics and Professional Practices Committee
The Ethics and Professional Practices Committee of the AESC is established as a review body to investigate complaints that may be made against member firms and/or their members of staff.
The complaints protocol for the committee is:
- A complaint from whatever source against a member firm or consultant should first be reviewed by the AESC President to ascertain the facts.
- If, in the opinion of the President, a valid complaint exists and the facts are substantiated then a referral should be made to the Ethics Committee.
- The Committee should review the case on the basis of its merits against the standards of the AESC Code of Ethics and Professional Practice Guidelines.
- A recommendation should be made to the Board for any action that may be justified or caution to a member firm that may result from this review.
- If remedial action is warranted, the member should be advised of the recommended action, afforded a reasonable opportunity to respond in writing or in person to the Board of Directors and receive a final written notice of the Board's decision.
Referrals to the committee should be made in the first instance to: Peter M. Felix, CBE, President, Association of Executive Search Consultants. Contact Information.
